Before there was a curriculum, a calendar, or a space of our own, there was a word: ‘Ayn — the wellspring. Everything here draws from the same source: a desire to know Allah, to live by what we know, and to love Him and His Messenger ﷺ more because of it.
Fostering ‘Ilm, ‘Amal, & ‘Ishq
Three words. One direction. Each one only means something once it leads to the next.
‘Ilm Knowledge
We start with sound, traditional learning — not knowledge for its own sake, but knowledge that's meant to be lived. This is where every class, every Dars, every course begins.
‘Amal Practice
Knowledge that doesn't change how we live hasn't finished its job. What's learned in the majlis is meant to walk out the door with you — into how you pray, speak, and treat the people around you.
‘Ishq Love
The final aim isn't just correct practice — it's a heart that has grown to love Allah and His Beloved Messenger ﷺ more deeply because of what it now knows and does.
Learning as a Family, Not Just an Age Group
In much of the Muslim world, Islamic learning was never split by age. A Dars was something a family attended together — parents and children in the same room, learning the same thing, at the same time. The Ayn Project is built to recover that: programming where a whole household can sit shoulder to shoulder, not just drop a child off and return later.
We believe this is how a Prophetic community is actually built — not by teaching individuals in isolation, but by families growing in faith side by side, and neighbors becoming a community because they learned together.
Shaykh Nisar Chaudhry
Shaykh Nisar founded The Ayn Project out of a simple conviction: that Islamic education should never separate the head from the heart, and never separate a family from its own learning. His teaching draws on classical scholarship while speaking directly to the realities of raising a family and building community in the West today.
Every class, Dars, and course under The Ayn Project reflects the same throughline he teaches by: that knowledge is only the beginning.
